Directions from the New Orleans Airport to Jean Lafitte
1. From the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, take the Jerome Glazer Airport Access Road which soon becomes the Airport Access Road to get to the entrance to I-10 East (about 3 miles from airport).2. Merge onto I-10 East.
3. When you come to the I-610 split, stay on I-10 East and follow the signs to Business 90 West which will take you to the Greater New Orleans Bridge and across the Mississippi River.
4. After you cross the bridge the road will curve to the right toward Gretna and Westwego.
5. You will be on US 90 West.
6. Continue on US 90 West until you get to the Barrataria/Avenue D exit. Take this exit and continue on the service road past Avenue D, E, F and G and turn left onto LA-45 South/Barataria Blvd.
7. After about 3 miles, turn left onto Lafitte/Larose Parkway. (At the turn you will see a brown sign for the Barataria preserve and there will be a Walgreens on your right.)
8. Follow the Lafitte/Larose Parkway for approximately 7 miles until it ends at the bridge over the bayou.
9. Go over the bridge, and curve around to the right.
10. When you come to a stop sign, turn left onto Jean Lafitte Blvd.
11. Continue on Jean Lafitte Blvd. for about 4 miles into town, and after you see Fisher High School on your left, take a left onto City Park Drive. The Civic Center will be the second building back from the road on your right (4977 City Park Drive).
